No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons peanut butter

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, melted butter, and 1 cup of peanut butter. Stir until everything is well mixed and forms a thick, smooth mixture.
  2. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13-inch baking dish. Use the back of a spoon or spatula to smooth it out.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and the remaining 4 tablespoons of peanut butter. Microwave on high in 15-second intervals, stirring each time, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the crust and spread it evenly to cover the entire surface.
  5. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  6. Once set, cut into 12 squares and serve.
