Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Recipe

If you love meals that practically cook themselves, this zesty slow cooker BBQ chicken is about to become a favorite. It’s sweet, tangy, a little savory, and incredibly tender thanks to the slow cooker doing all the hard work. Just toss everything in, walk away, and come back to juicy, shreddable chicken that’s perfect for sandwiches, rice bowls, or weeknight dinners with zero stress.

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Ingredients

  • 6 frozen, skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (from a 12-oz bottle)
  • ½ cup Italian salad dressing
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen chicken breasts right into the bottom of your slow cooker. No need to thaw—easy win.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and well combined.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure everything is nicely coated.
  4. Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is super tender.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks and stir it into the sauce.
  6. Serve warm however you like—on buns, over rice, or piled onto baked potatoes.
