Creamy Pesto Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pound linguine pasta
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup pesto sauce
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook until al dente (about 8–10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Pour in the heavy cream and add black pepper. Stir frequently and let it simmer gently for about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Stir in the grated Parmesan until fully melted and smooth. Then mix in the pesto sauce and cook for another 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 4–5 minutes.
  5. Toss the cooked linguine with the creamy pesto shrimp sauce, or spoon the sauce right over the pasta. Serve warm and enjoy every bite!
