Creamy Pesto Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 pound linguine pasta
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup pesto sauce
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook until al dente (about 8–10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Pour in the heavy cream and add black pepper. Stir frequently and let it simmer gently for about 6–8 minutes.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan until fully melted and smooth. Then mix in the pesto sauce and cook for another 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 4–5 minutes.
- Toss the cooked linguine with the creamy pesto shrimp sauce, or spoon the sauce right over the pasta. Serve warm and enjoy every bite!
